Title or Location: The Old Fire station
I have always loved the fire station on salford cresant and was over the moon to see this building, designed by H. Kirkly amd opened in 1903, renovated and renewed as a cafe/ bakery/ microbrewery. My art style caricaturises the subject building, warping and taking liberies with perspective but always keeping the essence that make it such a bueatiful and iconic Salford landmark.

This young woman was waiting for a ceremony to begin that I was attending. She lives in West Africa and was wearing a string of random beads that my African friends prefer. Her expression was open but patient and knowing. I thought some of her grandmother's wisdom must have come to her, just like the necklace.
