Other pictures are on my facebook page at Paintings for Macmillan. This watercolour painting was created using Digital art.

Title or Location: Rained Off
This painting was inspired by a photo given to me by a friend. It features two mates who had planned a day out at a cricket match. Unfortunately the great British weather had other ideas and rain stopped play. Bill and Dave walk the wet, cobblestones back alleys of Manchester in search of the nearest pub to drown their sorrows.

Painted from my imagination, but based on a local park I often walk in with my five year old grandson. I wanted to portray the colours of a sunset through a child?s eyes

Title or Location: Llandudno in September
I visited Llandudno for the first time. It was a special trip with my cousin. We had fought a long battle for recognition of past injustice. We won and we celebrated by visiting beautiful Llandudno and made some beautiful memories.

Title or Location: Cattle auction
This watercolour was painted about 16 years ago.I was looking for some images of people as a drawing/painting exercise, and happened to come across this photo in a book. My immediate thought was this would make a very interesting picture. The scene is a cattle auction somewhere in North Yorkshire.

Title or Location: Peek-a-Boo
Spring is in the air. I have recently been doing some daffodil paintings. For this painting I did a wash and instantly saw the potential for more daffodils and space for the lamb peeking through them. One of my former instructors always said, ?Listen to your painting.? This is exactly what I did here. Possibly, the idea of a lamb was inspired by the season of Easter as well.

Title or Location: Ailsa Craig
Ailsa Craig is an island in the Irish Sea off the Scottish coast. Its a magical place and the colours of the sea and sky can be exquisitely beautiful. One of my favourite places to paint. This is one of a series of paintings I have done of the island.
